Sightseeing Spot

The streetscape of Arequipa

As mentioned earlier, the city of Arequipa offers a stunning sense of harmony,
with its white limestone buildings embraced by the surrounding Andes mountains.
Even a glimpse of the mountains through a narrow alley or between buildings is enough to captivate the heart.

Among the highlights is the view of Mount Misti from Plaza de Armas.
It’s beautiful under the clear daytime sky, but during twilight—just before nightfall—it reveals a truly mystical landscape.

With its grand colonial architecture, the buildings—designed in striking shades of red and blue
—stand out vividly against the predominantly white cityscape of Arequipa.

Be sure to stop by when you visit Arequipa; it's truly worth experiencing.

Mirador de Yanahuara

This is another iconic scenic spot in Arequipa, well known among locals and visitors alike.

The limestone archways harmonize beautifully with the majestic presence of Mount Misti in the background.

Colca Canyon

Known as one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Colca Canyon offers an unforgettable experience.
You'll be moved by the grandeur of its natural landscape and the lingering traces of the ancient Inca civilization that once thrived here.

This region is home to the majestic Andean condor, which often appears—as if aware that people have come just to see it.
The breathtaking scenery created by the canyon’s dramatic depth and the soaring condors is truly spectacular.

La Nueva Palamino

A beloved local restaurant—you can feel its popularity the moment you walk in.

They serve a variety of Peruvian dishes, but I had a soup called Adobo.
I absolutely loved it.

Next time I'm in Arequipa, I'll definitely come back. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Pasta Canteen

A casual pasta specialty restaurant.
You can enjoy delicious pasta that's both affordable and satisfying.

I wish I had more time to try the different varieties... something to look forward to next time!

A slightly upscale Western-style restaurant.

The atmosphere is excellent, and the presentation of the dishes is beautifully done.

An upscale Peruvian restaurant.

They offer a wide variety of Peruvian dishes.
I ordered the Chupe de Camarones and the{" "} alpaca steak.

I didn’t try it here, but in Arequipa, a dish called Rocoto Relleno is especially famous—definitely worth trying if you get the chance.
